Taxi From Modiin to Ben Gurion Airport
Transfers from Modiin, Maccabim and Reut to Ben Gurion and back. One of the shortest runs there is, at a fixed price with door pickup
Modiin is among the closest cities to the airport, and that is exactly why people here set out too late. Twenty minutes on paper become forty once Highway 1 westbound loads up in the morning, and that gap lands precisely on the early flights most residents take.
Base one-way price in a private car for up to four passengers, daytime hours.
The route and the roads
The usual route is Highway 431 or Highway 1 westbound to the Ben Gurion interchange, depending which part of the city you leave from. From the eastern neighbourhoods it is sometimes easier to go out via Highway 443 and join further north. The stretch that stalls is Highway 1 westbound between 06:30 and 09:00, heading towards Gush Dan, so we add a buffer for pickups in that window. At night and at weekends the road flows and the time is close to the baseline.
Pickup areas
We collect from across the city - Buchman, Kaiser, Nofim, Moriah, Shimshoni, the Flowers and Birds quarters, and from Maccabim and Reut too. In neighbourhoods built on ring streets with stepped parking it helps to give an exact house number when booking, because the addresses here look alike and the driver should not have to hunt.
Being close to the airport is the great advantage of Modiin and also its trap. For a morning flight, plan the drive as forty minutes rather than twenty - that difference is exactly what separates coffee at the terminal from a run to the gate.
