What Determines the Price of an Airport Transfer?

"How much does it cost" sounds like a question with one answer, but the price of an airport transfer is built from several factors that behave differently. Understanding them helps you not only see why you were quoted a particular number, but also influence it - by shifting an hour or a passenger count, for example.

What goes into the price

These are the inputs, roughly in order of weight:

Distance and route - by far the largest factor. A ride from Modiin and a ride from Kiryat Shmona are different worlds
Vehicle size - eight passengers need a van rather than a car, and that shifts the price no less than distance does
The hour of travel - night rides are priced differently from daytime ones
Shabbat and holidays - days when availability is more constrained
Waiting time and intermediate stops - a planned stop en route or an extended wait adds to the calculation
Amount of luggage - included up to a point, and beyond it may require a larger vehicle

Why we do not use a meter

A meter prices time, not distance. That means a jam on Highway 1 makes your ride more expensive, and you have no idea what you will pay until you arrive. For an airport run this is especially bad, because the very hours when you must arrive on time - the rush - are when the number climbs.

With us the price is set in advance from the route, the passenger count and the vehicle type. If traffic turns out heavier than expected, that is our problem rather than yours. The number agreed is the number you pay.

How to avoid surprises

Most pricing misunderstandings come from details that were not shared at booking, not from bad intent. An address that turns out to be further than described, a third passenger who joins at the last minute, or luggage that forces a different vehicle - each changes the basis the price was calculated on.

So it pays to give an exact address with street and number, the final passenger count, the amount of luggage, and the children's ages if seats are needed. Five minutes of precision at booking saves an argument at the end of the ride.

How you pay

Payment is made directly to the driver at the end of the ride, in cash or by Bit transfer. We do not accept credit cards. Because the price is agreed in advance, you know exactly how much to have ready and there are no last-minute surprises.

It is worth being clear that this is an estimate rather than a final quote - it gives you the order of magnitude, and the binding price is agreed with us before departure.
